Canvas Print The paint is off
Peeling layers of turquoise, red and ochre tell the story of a city surface. Energy for living rooms, hallways and offices.
Shot straight on, the close-up captures masonry that has been painted over again and again until the topmost coats flaked away in broad patches. Turquoise and deep blue bleed into one another, a bold red flares along the upper edge, and powder pink, ochre and cool grey spread below. Cracks, crusts and weathered texture lend the motif an almost sculptural depth.
Above the sofa, along a stairwell or behind the kitchen counter, the motif comes into its own. It suits concrete surfaces, industrial lofts and pale timber, yet holds its own against quiet greys as well, adding life to a room without crowding it.
Urban colour energy that keeps the eye travelling through every layer.
